A global tech firm with a presence in over 160 countries is looking to expand their legal team by adding (4) Corporate Counsels of Employment Law and Compliance for North America!
Attorneys can be located in any of the below regions:
- United States
- Canada
- Mexico
- Caribbean
This attorney will be reporting to the Sr. Counsel Employment Law & Compliance and will work closely with their team remotely anywhere in North America. The team is a group of open minded and collaborative individuals who are excited to help the firm continue to grow and prosper in the 2021 fiscal year. As Corporate Counsel you will be able to join a motivated team and have the opportunity to build upon prior in-house international employment law experience for a fast growing global company.
You will be responsible for…
- Providing advice and strategy on all legal issues in the workplace arising from employee relations under employment laws, custom, and/or best practices
- Provide practical sound legal advice and counsel in a timely manner to clients and stakeholders in the business (Human Resources) on all employment law issues concerning the employment relationship, including but not limited to drafting and negotiation of the employment agreement, any review thereof, leave accruals and forfeitures, terminations, as well as due diligence under our Employer of Record (EOR) Services.
- Primarily responsible for drafting and negotiating employment contracts, analysing employment- and compensation-related issues, mutual separation/exit agreements, and working with business leaders to structure and document benefits and expatriate arrangements for new and existing employees
You should have the following qualifications…
- 3+ years of experience practicing international employment law
- Strong command of international employment laws, regulations and best practices.
- Immigration experience is a plus
