Corporate Counsel
A publicly traded international company is looking to expand their legal department! This attorney will work closely with the Commercial team out of their corporate office in Chicago. The team is a group of open minded and collaborative individuals who are excited to help the company continue to grow and prosper in the 2021 fiscal year. As commercial counsel you will be able to join a motivated team and be responsible for providing legal advice on all commercial, transactional, and general litigation matters with their businesses nationally and internationally.
You will be responsible for…
- Negotiating all commercial contracts including real estate and IP matters
- Managing outside counsel and preparing/reviewing discovery materials and attending depositions, mediations, and hearings
- Assuring the company is aware and compliant of all upcoming regulatory updates on federal, state, and local levels.
You should have the following qualifications…
- Minimum of 5 years legal experience within the commercial space
- Experience with contracts and drafting
- Exposure within corporate manufacturing companies a plus
