A global, private, diversified trading firm is currently seeking a Compliance Manager - Audit to join their Chicago team. Your role will serve as a critical member of the organization, supporting its larger objectives such governing the firm's compliance program, strong collaboration with various stakeholders and regulators, and understanding the needs of the firm not only on the business side but on the technical side as well.
The Compliance Manager - Audit will be responsible for:
- Supervising the regulatory licensing application cycle to ensure regulatory compliance needs are met
- Staying up to date on current regulations and ensuring the firm is compliant with new regulations
- Exchanging domain expertise, requirements, and comprehensive processes to technical teams and assisting compliance team with understanding their technical needs
- Guiding risk and control analyses to ensure operational control and design effectiveness
- Developing a plan of action for strategic implementation by gathering feedback from stakeholders
The Compliance Manager - Audit should have the following qualifications: ​
- Bachelor's degree is required
- Prior experience at a Fintech firm is highly preferred
- At least 8-10 years related experience in trading, asset management, or financial services firms
- Prior experience working with digital assets/cryptocurrency is preferred
- Prior experience working with software development practices and data systems is a plus
