We are currently searching for a Commercial Legal Counsel with a focus around helping contract oweners with contract negotiations with suppliers. This role will be part of the growing commercial legal teams across the company. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in handleing all legal matters. This role would be a great launch in the financial services industry. However, if you have previous experience in the commercial partnership space, this is the role for you.

Must-have:
- JD from an accredited law school;
- 5+ years of experience in Big Law or in the financial, telecom, or IT indutstries;
- Admission to a state bar
- Experience knowledge in Commercial Contract negotiations, Outsourcing, and Privacy and Data Protection;
- that problem-solver mindset - not just as a lawyer, but think like the business;
- Able to advise and serve as the team's first and global point-of-contact and source of truth for any legal matter;
- Strong interest in the payment industry and a willingness to learn rather than focus on one specific area of law.
- Must be able to be present in New York office atleast 2 days a week
Nice to have:
- In-house experience at a tech company is a plus;
- Excellent people skills when t comes to stakeholder management;
- Close relations working with sales and procurment.
