One of the country's largest produces of renewable energy is looking for an Assistant General Counsel to assist with legal advice in regard to NERC/FERC regulatory affairs.
Responsibilities:
- Organize, manage and oversee legal assignments
- Interpret and apply company policy according to any relevant laws
- Put together and edit any budgets or relevant assessments for all issues revolving outside counsel
- Lead less experienced attorneys and staff
- Provide relevant NERC and FERC legal advice
Qualifications:
- LLB or JD from accredited law school
- At least 5-8 years of experience
- Ability to do excellent legal research, analysis, and knowledge of federal and state laws
- Exceptional communication skills
- Experience with NERC and FERC rules and regulations (preferred)
- Knowledge of physical and financial energy trading markets (preferred)
