Job Requirements
- Oversee the AML/ CFT and Sanctions advisory function
- Provide AML advisory support to the business
- Investigate and clear post transaction alerts escalated from 1st LOD generated from internal monitoring systems
- Responsible for Sanctions monitoring review transactions and raise any suspicious or fraudulent transactions as necessary for reporting to the relevant regulators, and assist on other sanction related matters
- Undertake second line review of CDD files and provide advice 1st LOD and the business on internal policy and local regulatory requirements on CDD
- Assist senior compliance officers in providing advice to the business regarding rules and standards, proper codes of conduct
- Raise Compliance awareness and behaviour amongst all staff
- Update Regional Compliance policies, procedures, codes and guidelines on a regular basis to ensure the appropriateness and fit-for-purpose of these standards and to propose amendments as required
- Complete gap analysis and assessments with respect to internal policies and standards
Qualifications
- 12+ years of relevant AML compliance experiences in an investment bank or securities firm is highly preferred
- Prior experience as MLRO is an advantage
- AML Certifications (ex. HKIB, ACAMS, etc.) is highly preferred
- Proficiency in English and Cantonese is highly preferred
- Bachelor Degree holder in finance, economics or law is preferred
- Independent worker with high attention to detail
