About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Legal Counsel to join our in-house legal team. This role will focus on real estate matters and dispute resolution within a dynamic financial services environment. You will provide strategic legal advice to support business operations, manage risk, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on real estate transactions, including lease negotiations, property acquisitions/disposals, and landlord/tenant matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate property-related contracts, including service agreements and construction documentation.
  • Manage and resolve commercial disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution (ADR).
  • Liaise with external counsel and oversee litigation strategy and cost management.
  • Provide legal support on regulatory compliance and risk management related to property and disputes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across finance, operations, and compliance teams to deliver practical solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations affecting real estate and dispute resolution in the financial services sector.

Skills & Experience

  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 2-5 years PQE (private practice or in-house experience).
  • Strong background in real estate law and commercial dispute resolution.
  • Experience within financial services, property investment, or asset management is highly desirable.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
